The Sense of an ending - learning outcome

Hello readers, This Blog is a part of my  thinking activity given by Professor Dr. Dilip Barad in which students have to write their learning outcome. In new literature, sir gave us one group task in which we have to give the basic information about the text and we have to find ten authentic sources. We also have to write our learning outcome or how this particular text shaped me/us. The Sense of an Ending is a novel by Julian Barnes. The Sense of an Ending was awarded the Man Booker Prize. In the novel, there were following major characters.  1. Tony Webster 2. Adrian Finn 3. Veronica Ford 4. Mrs. Sarah Ford 5. Jack Ford 6. Margaret 7. Susie 8. Harry Potter WebQuest

Hello Readers! A  Webquest  is meant to understand how a single text can be studied through various perspectives. So, as a part of our curriculum, me and my friends have attempted to create a webquest on the Harry Potter series. You can read and also evaluate and comment under the blog, your opinions on the work. Harry Potter has been with us since so long. But do you think it is just another fairy tale in children’s fiction? Or Is it more than that? Well, studies suggest it is much more than just children’s fiction. Go through the webquest to find out how. We have done this task in a group and our group members are Ruchita Kankrecha , Rajdip Gohel , Krishna Patel , Prakruti Bhatt and Vishva Gajjar . Thinking Activity on 'The Da Vinci Code'

Hello Readers,                         This Blog is a part of my  thinking activity given by Professor Dr. Dilip Barad in which students have to interpret given points. If you want to know about it, here is the blog link of worksheet click here . 1. Brown states on his website that his books are not anti-Christian, though he is on a 'constant spiritual journey' himself, and says that his book The Da Vinci Code is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used "as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith." I am not agree or disagree. As we all believe that Dan Brown's novel 'The Da Vinci Code' is anti Christian novel. Brown uses some symbols and characters which are not convincing. As we all know that Jesus was unmarried and Magdalene is just fictional character but in literature, we can find many such thing that are fictional and we a

Thinking Activity on The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga

Why we have to read original text? If you are not able to complete reading of the full text, at list few pages. I understand this when I read few pages of Arvind adiga's novel 'The white tiger'. This is not an simple text. To understand what Adiga wants to convey through this novel, we have to read the novel, not the summery of the text. Aravind Adiga is an Indo-Australian writer and journalist. His debut novel, The White Tiger, won the 2008 Man Booker Prize. The protagonist character of the novel is Balram Halwai who belongs to lower class family and village boy. The novel tells the journey of Balram Halwai. This is not  journey of Balram but the story of the real society and the people who live in this society. India has also big Dark heart which is shown in the novel. Adiga is deconstructing the India in which we live. This story is confession of Balram Halwai. "what is telling is not important, how is telling is important." 1. How far do you agre
